ASME and IISE Event - 2016
Posted November 21, 2016
For the 7th year in a row, the ASME and IISE student sections at LAU held the traditional event of the year, the Professional Development Weekend, on September 17 and 18. The weekend was held in Bethania Hotel in Harissa and brought together over 70 mechanical and industrial engineering students, faculty members, and alumni, to “Expand their Possibilities” as this year’s theme suggests. It started with an ice breaker for the students to get acquainted with each other. Then, recognized entrepreneurs and engineers provided lectures on topics like entrepreneurship, post-graduate studies and energy in today’s world. Everyone then had a blast in the fun games during the night activity held on Saturday. Overall, the weekend was a great success. It not only gave the students insight on how they can expand their possibilities, but also gave them the opportunity to bond with each other and with faculty members.
