Building a renewable energy startup to serve the residential sector in Lebanon
The objective of this project is to build a startup that provides solutions to the electricity shortage problem for the residential market in Lebanon based on solar battery backup systems. The project entails:
- Sizing market demand
- Surveying the market for available products (benchmarking the competition)
- Designing the supply chains for the range of products offered (e.g. imported vs. locally made components, lithium vs. lead-acid batteries, different solar panel technologies, etc.)
- Determining the optimal number, location and size of the warehouse(s) needed for component storage and distribution to market (cost-optimal)
- Designing a warehouse facility layout
- Pricing of the products including installation costs
Conducting a life-cycle assessment of the solution
