Design and Optimization of soft pneumatic actuators
Soft pneumatic actuators are one the most used soft actuators in the soft robotics field. Soft pneumatic actuators are made of hollow chambers that can be cleverly designed to achieve diverse motions including bending, twisting, elongating, contracting, or a combination of those. The objective of this project is to develop a novel design of actuators and optimize it using finite element modeling through a commercial software known as ANSYS. The designed actuators can then be implemented in a soft robotic application (Note: Not a required step in this project but it can be considered).
