Design of a Hybrid Photovoltaic-Solar Concentrator System

The field of renewable energy is fast evolving due to the growing demand in energy and the increasing awareness of the environmental impact associated with traditional energy sources. Solar energy is the most abundant renewable energy resource. Hybrid Photovoltaic-Solar Concentrator Systems seek to combine the electricity generation capability of PV cells with the high-temperature capabilities of solar concentrators. Therefore, the system achieves high efficiency levels, making it suitable for a range of applications from power generation to solar heating.

In this project, we aim to design a Hybrid Photovoltaic-Solar Concentrator System for a residential heating application. The project will address the effect of important parameters such as optimal concentration ratios, heat dissipation, and Fluid flow rate on the system efficiency.
