Design of a plan for the implementation of a new product line in a food production factory
The objective of this project is to design an optimal process with detailed tasks/activities for the implementation of a new food product line in Lebanese industry.
Project entails the design of a least-cost detailed implementation schedule using Primavera Software and a detailed cost-benefit analysis comparing alternative plans using discounted cash-flow methods.
More specifically, the design project should accomplish the following:
- Defining and designing all the Tasks/Activities.
- Linking the activities with each other using the predecessor/successor relationship.
- Defining the resources (material, manpower, machine) for each activity.
- Determining the direct cost of each activity and its duration.
- Producing an optimized schedule of Works, with appropriate histogram and S-curve.
- Implementing resource leveling/resource allocation.
- Build a simulation model of the facility and the new production line to validate design requirements and decisions on cost/benefit and project execution.
