Design of a water bike
The current project consists in designing and building a water bike for cycling on water (lake, ocean, etc). The bike should be driven by a mechanical propulsion system (i.e., human power / pedaling), and it should include a simple steering mechanism. The overall weight of the bike should not exceed 15kg, and it should be capable of carrying a cyclist whose weight can reach up to 120kg. The design should include the kinematics of the propulsion and steering systems, structural analysis of the chassis, a CFD analysis of the propeller and lifting foil(s), a CAD drawing and cost estimation of the final product.
