Smart Car Accident Detection System
The increase in the number of accidents in Lebanon and the lack of maintenance of the road’s infrastructure has led to a huge number of yearly casualties. This created a situation that made it difficult for the Lebanese Red Cross Organization to react timely to the occurrence of these accidents. Therefore, a solution is needed to automate the processes of both detecting accidents and notifying the Red Cross within the best delays. Although many solutions for the aforementioned problem have been developed over the years, these solutions are not well adapted to the Lebanese challenging situation. For this reason, this project aims at introducing a full-fledged solution that provides in a timely manner, among others, the location of the accident along with other essential information about the accident for the Red Cross. In particular, the solution is implemented into a hardware part as well as a software part whose interplay makes it possible to fully achieve the objectives underlying our project.
