About the Industrial & Mechanical Engineering Department
The IME department houses two ABET-accredited undergraduate degree programs:
BE in Industrial Engineering
BE in Mechanical Engineering
… as well as two graduate degree programs:
MS in Mechanical Engineering
MS in Industrial Engineering and Engineering Management
Our state-of-the-art curricula provide students with a well-rounded learning experience focusing on technical as well as soft skills. We take pride in instilling in our students a sense of citizenship and responsibility, integrity and high ethical standards, while equipping them with the highest level of technical knowledge in their field of study.
Our modern ELRC lab facilities offer the latest technologies in controls and mechatronics, ergonomics, experimental fluid dynamics, high-performance computing, instrumentation, manufacturing, materials testing, mobility systems, packaging, thermo-fluids, and vibrations.
The hands-on experience acquired from working in such top-notch facilities prepares our students to work in industry or to pursue graduate studies and research at the highest levels.
Our students enjoy the opportunity of learning from and working alongside internationally renowned professors, with a wide range of expertise. Our career placement office assists our students in securing internships and job opportunities in the local, regional, and international job market through close-knit industry ties.
