Field Trip to Phoenix Machinery
The trip to Phoenix Machinery allowed mechanical engineering students to witness the actual progress achieved in the manufacturing industry in Lebanon. Phoenix Machinery gave students a tour of the manufacturing facility which was very advanced and was currently working on a 1000 product per minute production line machine. ME students who have taken the MEE Design course were able to relate to most of the machine components being installed. During the field trip, there was also a tour of the design offices where all the problem solving and creativity is done. Their job is mainly focused on using AutoCAD as the design software. In general, the visit to Phoenix Machinery was both enjoyable and productive. The club will definitely consider a second visit.
