SOE Society of Petroleum Engineers Student Chapter Wins a Prestigious Award
We are very happy to announce that the Society of Petroleum Engineers Student Chapter at the Lebanese American University has been awarded the Student Chapter Excellence Award for 2020.
This prestigious award is the second highest honor a student chapter may receive and is awarded to only 20% of student chapters around the world: top 80 chapters from around 400 chapters worldwide!
The award is in recognition of our student chapter’s programs in industry engagement, operations and planning, community involvement, professional development, and innovation.
We know the past year has been unique, yet our SPE chapter continued to fulfill SPE’s mission and serve their members. We thank and congratulate the chapter’s advisor Dr. Zisis Vryzas, and the board members: Joelle El Sayegh (President), Hani Abou Fakher (Vice President), Hassan Khalife (Membership Chairperson), Maan Chahal (Treasurer), and Rudy AbdelMassih (Secretary).
