Brainter
Brainter represents an innovative and interdisciplinary idea, combining engineering, neuroscience, and art, to create a new form of artistic expression. The main premise of the project is to read and process the neural response of an individual to create digital artwork using artificial intelligence, and then materialize it into a tangible art piece through the precision of a robotic painter. Brainter will reflect the intricate complexity of the effect of auditory stimulation and music on the human brain through art. Its applications range from medical and psychological settings to art exhibitions with a view to enhancing the experiences of physically impaired individuals. Brainter is made up of hardware and software parts whose guidelines are delineated in the present report.
It involves capturing brain signals using an EEG headset. These signals are processed to detect cognitive and emotional states, which are then used to generate digital images through artificial intelligence. The images are further processed to create G-code, which controls a robotic painter to produce physical artwork.
