Wirely: Redefining 3D Printing and Circuit Layering
Wirely, a groundbreaking 3D printer, is set to redefine the world of printing and circuit layering. Aligned with three sustainable development goals and meeting additive manufacturing, artificial intelligence, and digital twin standards, Wirely introduces four transformative pillars:
Thermoformed Circuit Boards
Circuit printing is often regarded as an expensive and complex methodology, while manual wire placement results in messy and unreliable connections. Wirely overcomes these challenges with thermoformed circuit boards; a practical and cost-effective solution for designing and printing circuits, eliminating the need for costly alternatives, or the manual placement of connections.
Defect Detection
Many 3D printing enthusiasts encounter the same challenge when printing errors occur: most 3D printers continue the process even if defects arise mid-print. Wirely addresses this issue with a deep learning model that detects printing errors in real time and commands the printer to stop, effectively reducing waste, saving time, and conserving energy.
Automatic Correction
While Wirely detects printing errors and stops the printer, it could also prevent such errors from eventually happening. Powered by neural networks trained on 1.2 million images, Wirely provides real-time monitoring for the printer, by adjusting several parameters such as the flow rate of the printer, the Z offset of the extruder and the hot-end temperature of the nozzle. Wirely aims at taking the quality of the printing to the next level, without the need for constant manual supervision on the printer.
Digital Twin
With Wirely’s Digital Twin, your printer stays connected to you wherever you are, virtually. Embedded within a Unity interface and integrated with OctoPrint, the Digital Twin System enables users to monitor the printer, observe the printing process, and track printing parameters. The interface is connected to the automatic correction system to display real-time parameter adjustments, and to the defect detection system, highlighting any encountered errors and alerting the user.
