Towards Smart and Green Municipalities

The key component of this project is to create a based solar system that allows for the generation, distribution and storage of clean energy, in order to serve a smart municipality. A mini-grid of small-scale solar power and energy storage system interconnected to a distribution network that supplies electricity to a small group of customers should be developed. It operates independently from the national transmission grid. 
The consumption of energy should be optimized in this project, so a smart home system will incorporate advanced technology to efficiently manage energy consumption. Also, in the same context to save energy, a smart solar street light will be designed and tested. More, the project involves the implementation of a mobile solar station for pumping system and cold storage building.
