Joseph Abi Ghosn

Joseph Abi Ghosn is a Lebanese entrepreneur and business leader with more than two decades of experience spanning energy, real estate, hospitality, construction, food and beverage, and investment. An LAU alumnus, he has built and developed a diversified portfolio of businesses rooted primarily in the Byblos region. He is the CEO and Founder of Maximus Hotel, Cronus Dorm, and First Space Real Estate Company, and plays a leading role in ENJM Gas & Petroleum, the family business founded by his parents in 1993.

Abi Ghosn began his professional journey in 2000 with Abi Ghosn Trading (AGT), entering the business world directly as an owner and chief executive. Shortly thereafter, he assumed an increasingly active role in ENJM, helping transform what began as a single family gas station into a broader energy and services operation. Over the years, his entrepreneurial activities expanded through ventures including Express Petroleum, Abi Ghosn Enterprises, Abi Ghosn Construction, and other investments across energy, trading, construction, and real estate.

A defining feature of his career has been his ability to diversify into complementary sectors. In 2015, he founded Cronus Dorm, a major student housing development near LAU’s Byblos campus, further expanding his real estate portfolio. In 2017, he founded Maximus Hotel, marking an important step into the hospitality sector. The five-star property combines hospitality, wellness, dining, business, and event facilities, reflecting his vision of providing guests with safety, comfort, and a high-quality experience.

His business interests also extend to the food and beverage sector, including concepts such as JAG, Lafloufe, and the recently opened SNOB, alongside additional activities in property development and related services. Together, ENJM, Cronus, Maximus, First Space, JAG, Lafloufe, and his construction and trading ventures reflect a deliberate entrepreneurial strategy of building and managing businesses across diverse sectors while responding to changing market needs.

Across his businesses, Abi Ghosn remains closely involved in management and operations. His leadership philosophy is grounded in respect, trust, commitment, and accountability, guided by his belief that “a promise is a promise.” For him, business success is measured through achievement, the ability to transform ideas into sustainable enterprises, and the continuous pursuit of growth.

Beyond his business activities, Abi Ghosn serves as a Board Member of Notre Dame de Secours in Jbeil, reflecting his engagement with institutions within his community.

He is a graduate of the Lebanese American University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, and he speaks Arabic, English, and French.

Today, Abi Ghosn brings his entrepreneurial and management experience to the Advisory Board of the School of Engineering at the Lebanese American University. His career across energy, hospitality, real estate, construction, and services offers a multidisciplinary business perspective shaped by more than two decades of building and managing enterprises.

His entrepreneurial outlook is perhaps best captured by his personal motto:
“I’m selling dreams to people who never sleep.”
