AquaGuard: Monitoring, Detection, Prevention and Rescue from Drowning

Drowning, particularly among children, is the third leading cause of death globally, necessitating innovative water safety solutions. Existing systems mainly emphasize rescue efforts using drones, robots, and lifeguards. However, this Capstone Design Project focuses on the crucial pre-rescue stages that precede drowning incidents. Our project introduces a two-component system: a wristband and a monitoring module. The wristband continuously tracks the wearers vital signs, signaling any distress or abnormality, while the monitoring interface offers lifeguards a real-time overview of the pool, highlighting individuals at risk.
