Design of a New Product Line in a Food Production Factory Using an Industrial Engineering Approach
The objective of this project is to design an optimal process with detailed activities for the implementation of a new manufacturing line at a local food producer using Industrial engineering methods.
The implementation covers the design of the production process for the frozen food line of products according to Lean manufacturing principles, from procurement of raw materials to distribution to the customer, and a detailed cost-benefit analysis comparing current and proposed designs using discounted cash-flow methods.
The project should include an understanding of market demand, the design of a lean production process, development of an efficient production plan, and adjustment of the design of the facility layout to accommodate production efficiently and effectively. This also includes modifying or adding equipment, adjusting production schedules, and simulating the production process to ensure no bottlenecks.
