Design of a Sewer Network and a Wastewater Treatment Plant (3)
The aim of the project was creating a sewer network that links two communities in Keserwen, Lebanon, to a planned treatment facility. Kfour and Ghazir were the names of the villages. In the Keserwen District, I designed the sewer network for the community of Kfour. A sewage system is a network of lift stations and pipelines that allows water from nearby residential and commercial buildings to be collected. The collected water is transferred to a wastewater treatment facility for treatment. Sewer networks are an essential piece of infrastructure because they provide an effective way to manage wastewater. Along with Sewer CAD software, which was used for design, there was also Microsoft Excel, which was used for manual calculations. Additionally, the necessary pumps were selected to give the necessary power and head loss once the full excavation volume was calculated using Excel. Finally, pumps from the Grundfos Pumps website were selected.
