Development of a Recycling System for Batteries and Solar Panels in Lebanon
With the widespread adoption of solar photovoltaic (PV) systems in Lebanon due to frequent and prolonged grid electricity cutouts, an increasing amount of electronic waste (e-waste) is expected in the coming years. This project aims to develop an efficient recycling system specifically tailored to Lebanon’s solar sector, focusing on the disposal and recycling of used solar panels and batteries from residential and industrial solar PV systems. It will explore ways to handle hazardous materials safely and develop strategies to recover valuable materials, minimizing environmental impact.Project Details
