Smart Battery Management System (SBMS)

In this project, a smart Battery Management System (BMS) is designed and implemented for lithium-ion battery applications. The primary functions of the BMS include cell energy equalization, as well as the estimation of the battery’s State of Charge (SOC). Modern approaches for implementing these functions are investigated, with particular focus on the integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques to enhance SOC estimation accuracy, alongside advanced estimation methods such as Kalman filtering. In addition, efficient battery equalization strategies are implemented to improve overall battery performance, reliability, and lifespan.
