SmartTurf: Autonomous Turf Management System

The demand for increased efficiency and pristine lawn quality has led to the development of modern robotic mowers, which play a pivotal role in enhancing landscaping outcomes. Traditional robotic mowers, reliant on boundary or guide wires, are often inefficient and cumbersome due to the manual setup required. Complex AI and machine learning algorithms used in other technologies further increase costs and setup complexity.

Our innovative robotic lawn mower addresses these challenges with an advanced sensor system for obstacle detection and a navigation system that maximizes cutting efficiency. Designed with a low-edged blade for a quiet and dust-free cutting experience, our mower eliminates the need for boundary wires, guide wires, or Wi-Fi/GPS connections, optimizing the mowing process for user convenience.

The autonomous lawn-care robot is designed for efficient operation in suburban areas with defined lawn shapes. It moves at a steady speed of 1.2 km/hr, with ultrasonic sensors and a built-in camera for intelligent navigation and obstacle detection. Safety features include an automatic halt and blade stop if the robot experiences a rotational displacement exceeding 35 degrees, ensuring user and robot safety.
