System Lift Assist Chair 2

This project focuses on designing a mechanized chair that can be used to assist with the transportation of patients with limited-mobility to different locations, such as the restroom and other rooms. The chair height must be adjusted by a linear motor mechanism and/or scissors jack. Moreover, the chair seat can be opened to ease the operation of carrying the patient. The chair should be equipped with a safety lock mechanism to ensure patient safety. Furthermore, it should be equipped with wheels for easier transportation, with a breaking mechanism. The chair should be light enough to be easily carried around and at the same time be durable and able to support the patient weight. The seat should also be made out of long-lasting material, while keeping an ergonomic design to help ensure patient comfort.
