About the Mechatronics Engineering Program
What is Mechatronics Engineering?
Mechatronics is an engineering discipline which deals with the convergence of electrical, computer and mechanical systems. Such combined systems have widespread adoption and a continuously increasing demand.
Mechatronics engineers are involved in the research and development of state-of-the-art technologies in automation, control, industrial, and robotic systems that are widely adopted in the fields of medicine, automotive, security, energy, and construction to name a few. Some example applications include driver-less autonomous vehicles and drones, medical and industrial robots, exoskeletons, artificial human limbs, industrial automation and smart building management systems.
