PulseGuard: Smart Health Solution for Safer, Healthier Lives

PulseGuard is an end-to-end, AI-driven healthcare solution designed to revolutionize myocardial infarction (MI) detection and management. By integrating continuous ECG monitoring, real-time AI diagnostics, and automated medication dispensing, PulseGuard provides a comprehensive and scalable platform for both acute and long-term cardiac care. The system utilizes a low-cost, single-lead ECG sensor connected to a Raspberry Pi to run an edgeoptimized CNN-LSTM deep learning model trained on the PTB-XL dataset. This model achieves 86% accuracy and a 90% AUC-ROC in classifying MI, enabling early detection outside clinical environments.
 
In addition to its diagnostic capabilities, PulseGuard features a modular, IoT-connected pill dispenser powered by an ESP32 microcontroller. The dispenser offers ±2 mm dispensing precision and supports encrypted scheduling via a centralized dashboard accessible to patients, caregivers, and physicians. Designed with affordability, portability, and interoperability in mind, the platform addresses global healthcare disparities by providing robust cardiovascular monitoring and treatment adherence support in resource-constrained settings.
