This double degree enables LAU Mechanical Engineering students to complete their final two engineering years at INSA Toulouse and earn degrees from both institutions. Students complete the first four years (equivalent of 120 credits) at LAU and then spend two academic years at INSA Toulouse. The program combines LAU’s foundational training with INSA Toulouse’s advanced engineering curriculum.

 

Course Requirements

• Eligibility after completing LAU Year 4 in Mechanical Engineering (at least 120 US credits).
• At INSA Toulouse: completion of Year 4 and Year 5 of the Mechanical Engineering curriculum (Semesters 7–10), totaling 120 ECTS, plus compulsory internships.
• The individual study program is confirmed through a study contract approved by academic coordinators.
• Credits earned at the host institution are recognized toward the home degree, subject to institutional rules.

Admission Requirements

• Pre-selection by LAU and final selection by INSA Toulouse (case-by-case) based on academic performance, scientific prerequisites, motivation, and language proficiency.
• Language: at least B2 in French and English (CEFR) for admission to INSA Toulouse.
• Host institution communicates admission decision via an official acceptance/refusal letter.
